Perlas mo'y nilapastangan

Banyagang walang puso

Dibdib mo'y ninakawan ng buhay

Lupang Hinirang

Ika'y sadyang piniring

Tahasang nilulupig

ng dayuhang mapaniil

Tila alikabok

si Juan sa sarili niyang bayan

Mapait ang luha

Taghoy ang paglayang minamahal

Kislap ng watawat mo'y

Pagtangis na umiigting

Maging bituin at araw niya'y

Kinamkam at pinagbili

Lupa ng araw sa Pilipinong maralita

Di na langit sa piling mo

Yaman at laya, dinudusta't inaapi,

Ngunit mamamatay pa rin -- para sa'yo
