The Allegory of the Candle Light/ The Eternal Light!

Dr. Jose P. Rizal

A Candle is a small thing.

But one candle can light one another.

And as it gives its flame to other,
see how its own light… increases!

You are such as a light.
Light is the power to dispel darkness.

You have this power to move back the darkness in yourself and in others–with the birth of light created when one mind illuminates another, when one heart kindles another, when one man strengthens another.
And its flame also enlarges within you as you pass on!

I liiked a lot the text.
You do a great analogy with the light and other good connotated human things to have or to be. And the best is the sharing part, reminded me of the story of a guy who had to break a bunch of tiny branches that his father gave him, he could not break them all at once but he could break them one at a time.

Thank you my dear friend but... honestly speaking... that wisdom is not mine but to Dr. Jose P. Rizal's. A great philosopher produced by Filipino race but was unfortunately, due to discrimination in spanish colonial times, is not well recognized by the whole world today.

As I said a while ago, the piece, printed above is incomplete... I am waiting to have a chance again to research the original document. :)

Let your candle shine, and be not extinguished from within or without. Let the radiant light increase, to touch the hearts of those who sit in their dim ignominous places feeling as dull as the repetitive words they are speaking with no wisdom. Let your light and mine burn the impurities of disatisfaction out of existance, until our light reaches the pinicale of the sun shining gloriously in the universe.

*I am inspired by your words

Wow! Great interpretation! That's what exactly it really means and one more thing... The Darkness signifies ignorance... light as wisdom and many other symbolisms!
